Erasmus+ students and alumni on the EU Global Strategy
|
On March 17th, High Representative Federica Mogherini engaged in an interactive discussion with Erasmus+ students and alumni on the new EU Global Strategy on Foreign and Security Policy. An important objective for the EU Global Strategy is to connect with and respond to the aspirations of EU citizens and the Erasmus+ students and alumni – to which High Representative Mogherini belongs herself - are an unique sounding board in this regard, as their joint experiences include insights on how the EU is perceived, as well as views on the EU's role and approach as it is seen in different member states. ESAA Magazine - Introduction issue

Another one of ESAA's milestones during these last months was the release of the very first edition of our association magazine. For this first edition it was presented a broad general overview of what ESAA is all about so people can get to know us better. Read the full publication here!

garagErasmus workshop in Pisa
On March 18th, the garagErasmus Foundation organized the workshop “Capitalizing on the Erasmus experience for professional goals” in Pisa. The event was organized in cooperation with ESN, ESAA and the University of Pisa. The event consisted of two parts: a public part in the morning and a part reserved for the people who enrolled for the workshop in the afternoon.

Are you the next President of OCEANS?
The OCEANS Network is looking for two new leaders to represent the Erasmus+ international credit mobility students in the world and at the ESAA level. Are you an Erasmus+ student or alumnus who have been on exchange outside of the EU? Or a non-European who has done an Erasmus+ exchange in Europe? Then you may be the next OCEANS Network President or Vice President. The call for applications will be published on the 7th May 2016 at www.oceans-network.eu.

EMA's steering committee meeting
On 27-28 February 2016, EMA’s Steering Committee met in Stockholm, Sweden to discuss association’s projects and events on the way. The meeting included several important discussions and up- dates relating to the structure, budget, management policies. The SC continues working for stronger and more sustainable growth of the organisation, strategising for the changes and challenges coming up in the future.

Launch of ESNblog - The Voice of the Erasmus Generation!
ESN has launched a brand new multimedia platform the ESNblog. The blog aims to be the voice of the Erasmus generation, serving content oriented towards internationally minded youth in Europe. Follow us on esn.org/blog!

gE4Tours conference "World & Work"
On March 24th the local association of garagErasmus gE4Tours in France organised a conference on "World & Work": Professional Insertion & International Mobility at the University François Rabelais of Tours, in partnership with students of the Master of International Business and Foreign Languages. CEOs and young professionals, who have been Erasmus students in the past, shared their experiences and thoughts.

AGM Warsaw 2016
The Annual General Meeting of ESN took place in Warsaw from 7th to 10th April with over 700 representatives from ESN's 38 member countries. Besides the election of the International Board 2016-2017, ESN elected ExchangeAbility, a project on inclusive mobility, as the Flagship Project for the coming year.

The Other Side: personal stories from EMA members
EMA is launching a new initiative where different personal stories from EMA members coming from conflict areas will be shared with the wider community. As a global network EMA aims to embrace its diversity and difference but not turn a blind eye to the social and political conflicts and daily struggles existing around the world.

ESAA Activities
OYOE in South Korea
On April 2nd, the Kyungpook National University organized a fun event in Daegu, South Korea, aimed at getting Erasmus+ students closer with the Korean culture. Over 50 students and staff from Europe and Korea participated and our two lovely OCEANS representatives (Sunhee Kim and Yoonmi Kim) provided informative presentations about Erasmus+ and ESAA. » read more

INIE conference: Call for speakers
The 2016 INIE Conference serves as a platform to connect educators, cultural entrepreneurs, creative innovators, academic researchers, and practitioners from across the world. Thus, they are seeking talented professionals, scholars, and students from the ESAA community to present in a PechaKucha format on this year's topic: Cultural Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
